Our Story
 Established in 1981, with the support of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Dutco, the parent company of what is now Jebel Ali International Hotels, had the vision and foresight to invest in providing Dubai with two state of the art hotels - the Jebel Ali Hotel and the Hatta Fort Hotel.
These two iconic properties helped spearhead Dubai’s meteoric development as a world class tourist destination, and established Jebel Ali International Hotels as one of the world’s most prestigious hospitality companies. The establishment of Dutco, as the company is generally known, dates back to 1947, when leading local businessmen Mr. Yousuf Baker founded the Dubai Transport Company. In 1981 Jebel Ali International Hotels was established as a branch of Dutco, to provide Dubai with world-class hospitality and accommodation. Jebel Ali International Hotels manages a unique portfolio of luxury Dubai hotels including the 5-star Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa (Jebel Ali Hotel and Palm Tree Court & Spa), Hatta Fort Hotel mountain retreat, Oasis Beach Tower apartments, the cruise vessel Bateaux Dubai and Al Sahra Desert Resort. Each of these special entities offer superior and distinctive products and services; while never losing sight of their Arabian heritage.
